Academics
Elementary School
Where curiosity, character, and confidence are formed through Christ-centered learning.
The elementary years are foundational. These are the years when faith, curiosity, and knowledge take root. Our Elementary Program (Grades 1–5) integrates academic excellence with biblical truth to help students grow in wisdom, faith, and character.
We believe every child is fearfully and wonderfully made in God’s image. Through nurturing relationships, engaging academics, and hands-on learning, we help students discover their God-given gifts and begin to see the world through a biblical lens.
Academic Overview
Our elementary program is designed to build a solid academic and spiritual foundation through a well-rounded, Christ-centered curriculum.
Comprehensive Literacy Program
Integrates phonics, word study, guided reading, and book studies to strengthen language skills and foster a lifelong love of reading.
Mathematics with Meaning
Differentiated instruction ensures that students master fundamental math facts while learning to think critically and solve problems creatively.
Engaging Core Subjects
Science and social studies instruction encourage curiosity and understanding through active learning experiences, projects, and presentations.
Biblical Worldview
Bible instruction at every grade level teaches truth, reinforces values, and helps students apply biblical principles to every part of life.
School-Wide Bible Memory
Students begin memorizing Scripture at the elementary level through age-appropriate verses that deepen their understanding of God’s Word.
Specials & Service
Specials
Junior Cougars explore their God-given talents through special subjects like art, music, Spanish, physical education, and technology. Music classes encourage students to glorify Jesus through joyful expression, including the Christmas program and spring concerts. Fourth and fifth graders also perform in special musical events. Students may join the school band or take private or small-group instrumental lessons through the Music Conservatory.
Projects

Elementary students regularly take part in collaborative projects and activities that bring different grade levels together. One of the highlights of the year is Jr. Cougar Week, a themed week of hands-on learning in Bible, science, and social studies that ends with a fun Jr. Cougar Carnival. The year also concludes with Elementary Field Day, where students enjoy games, friendly competition, and celebrating teamwork together.
Service
Students learn that faith grows through serving others. Each year, elementary students take part in a school-wide missions project that supports Christian ministries and local needs. Past projects have included providing supplies for missionaries, helping local schools, and supporting families in need. Classes also participate in hands-on service projects throughout the year, giving students meaningful ways to care for others and make a difference in their community.
Chapel

Chapel is a regular part of elementary life. Students gather to worship, pray, and grow in their understanding of God’s Word. Through age-appropriate messages, music, and student involvement, chapel encourages spiritual growth and Christ-centered community. It’s a meaningful time each week where students are reminded of who they are in Christ and how to live out their faith each day.
