Academics

High School

Equipping students with academic excellence, spiritual depth, and purpose for life beyond graduation.

High school at Conestoga Christian School is large enough to offer a full range of academic and extracurricular opportunities, yet small enough for every student to be known, supported, and challenged personally.

Our teachers and administrators take an intentional, relational approach to education by helping students discover their strengths, grow in confidence, and prepare for their next steps in God’s plan. Whether through rigorous academics, leadership development, or service and worship, CCS high schoolers are equipped to think critically, live faithfully, and impact the world for Christ.

Academic Overview

Core Curriculum

Students engage deeply in the core disciplines (Bible, English, Math, Science, and Social Studies/History) while exploring how all truth is God’s truth.

Each subject is taught from a biblical worldview, helping students develop discernment, curiosity, and wisdom.

Electives and Specialized Courses

High school students enjoy a broad range of electives that inspire creativity and leadership, including:

  • Spanish (Levels 1–4)
  • Digital Literacy and Media Production
  • Visual and Performing Arts
  • Yearbook and Graphic Design
  • Financial Literacy and Entrepreneurship
  • Leadership Development
  • Lifetime Sports, Weight Training, and Worship Studies

Dual Enrollment and Expanded Learning

CCS partners with Grand Canyon University and LeTourneau University to offer Dual Credit Courses, allowing students to earn both high school and college credits at a significantly discounted rate. Each course runs 15 weeks per semester, with a live CCS teacher supporting instruction, discussion, and exploration of concepts while students complete coursework online through the university.

In addition, students can access expanded academic opportunities through online high school-level courses via Educere and Liberty University Online Academy, giving them flexibility to pursue areas of personal interest or advanced study.

Personalized Learning and Support

Every high school student collaborates with our Dean of Students to create a personalized academic plan that reflects their goals, strengths, and future aspirations.

College-bound students are encouraged to pursue:

  • Four years of Science and Mathematics
  • At least two years of Foreign Language

A Vo-Tech Track is also available for students pursuing technical or trade pathways, allowing them to integrate Vo-Tech credits into CCS graduation requirements.

  • Courses in English, Math, Science, and Social Studies follow a modified block schedule (42 minutes, three days a week; 87 minutes, two days a week).
  • All students take Bible as an academic subject.
  • Introductory Spanish is offered in Middle School; Spanish I–IV in High School.
  • Weekly electives include Physical Education, Fine Arts, Language, and Technology for middle schoolers; similar electives rotate each trimester in High School.
  • Dual Credit Courses are available through Cedarville University, allowing upperclassmen to earn college credit under the mentorship of CCS faculty.
