Spiritual Life
United in Christ
“For just as the body is one and has many members, and all the members of the body, though many, are one body, so it is with Christ.” 1 Corinthians 12:12
Faith is woven into every moment of student life. Our goal is to help students grow in wisdom, faith, and service so they not only know God’s truth but live it out daily. This year’s theme, “United in Christ,” reflects our calling to walk in unity as one body under Christ.
Living Out Our Faith
Our spiritual formation program invites students to encounter God, build authentic community, and serve others. Through chapel, small groups, and hands-on service, students discover what it means to belong to the body of Christ and to impact the world for His glory.
Chapel
Chapel is one of the most meaningful rhythms of life at CCS. It’s a time for students to worship, grow, and be encouraged in their faith.
- Elementary Chapels take place twice a month and include joyful worship, engaging lessons, and opportunities for students to help lead. Often, middle and high school worship teams join to model what it means to praise God together.
- Middle & High School Chapels are held biweekly and feature student-led worship, guest speakers, and faculty devotionals that point students toward Christ and His Word.
- On alternate weeks, students meet in small groups for prayer, discipleship, and meaningful connection.
- A few times each year, the entire school gathers for All-School Chapel. It’s always a powerful reminder that we are one family in Christ.
Service Opportunities
Equipping students for a life of discipleship means teaching them to love God by serving others. Our service and missions program gives students practical opportunities to live out their faith in tangible ways locally, regionally, and globally. We believe discipleship happens when students put their faith into action, discovering that true joy comes from loving and serving others.
“As we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers.” — Galatians 6:10
How Students Serve
- Elementary Students participate in age-appropriate service projects that teach empathy and compassion, from supporting local ministries to packing shoeboxes for children around the world.
- Middle and High School Students engage in community service, outreach projects, and mission opportunities that strengthen character and expand their worldview.
What Students Gain
- A heart for missions and service that mirrors Christ’s love.
- Awareness of global and local needs and how to meet them.
- The joy of working together for God’s glory.
- Deeper relationships across ages, cultures, and communities.
